This PR:

[x] Removes some heavy function call redundancy.
[x] Watches events from the creation of the ENS contract (mainnet & ropsten), instead from block 400,000. My geth was hitting 400% cpu usage, now it's much better.

...not so fast! It didn't work properly with the observers paused. I'll give another take on this tomorrow
