Can't reveal bids: TxReceipt Status: Fail - Please Help #201

Hi everyone,

For some reason, I'm unable to reveal the bids I placed on three separate domains. I also placed bids on several other domains and had no issues revealing those bids (using the MEW network and 30 Gwei) but with these three domains, the transactions always say "TxReceipt Status: Fail".

Here's an example: https://etherscan.io/tx/0x5dba955d9aa6519ce166fa79af1e5dcc9da036064f51add6ee4c20770ffb3cb3

I've tried using different networks and also raised the gas price all the way up to 60 Gwei but nothing's making any difference. I stand to lose about 0.35 ETH within the next 40 hours if this issue isn't resolved, so any help is much appreciated.

Thank you!

Did you place the bids using registrar.ens.domains, or using MEW?

Hi Nick, Thank you for your response. I used MEW for all of the auctions.

I've tried to reveal my bids again, no luck. I'll send 0.1 ETH to whoever finds a solution to this problem (that is, a way for me to reveal my three bids).

Could it be that I somehow started each of the three auctions without actually placing any bids (which were over 0.1 ETH)? That's the only thing I can think of that would explain why I can't reveal my bids, other than an error in the contract, but I doubt that's the case.

I should probably mention that last week, a similar thing happened. I had started two auctions, revealed my bids, my bids were showing as the highest bids until the end of the reveal period and then, the auction was closed and the domains were released again, as if no one had ever placed or revealed any bids. Sadly, my bids were not returned to my wallet.

Also unable to reveal my bids... Using mew, have tried using several different network nodes, none of the transactions ever return/are found by etherscan, despite mew reporting them having come back successfully.

@JurgenMH if you don't reveal your bid (see: can't), you lose it. 😢 I'm out my bids as well...

I was finally able to reveal my bid - I expect this is in part due to congestion. I changed the node I was connected to three times and round-robined the unseal transaction, which finally went through.
