Ethereum 0.9.0 wallet does not connect to node #2839

Node type: geth
Number of blocks synchronized: 4,077,093 of 4.077,093

Hello guys! Not sure what I'm doing wrong and if this issue was reported before (I checked it but I didn't find any similar issue reported before).

The problem I have is that I installed the new Ethereum wallet (V 0.9.0) and trying to use the test network (Rinkeby as showed in the Ethereum main screen) I always obtain the same message: "No etherbase set and no accounts found as default".....

On the other hand, it was neccesary more than two hours to download the last block (4.077,093). All the time showing "Chain structure" and a percentage growing and decreasing between 99.30% and 99.80%... Is it normal?

Hi fellas! No idea about this issue? Is there somebody that tested the 0.9.0 version in the rinkeby test environment? I reinstalled the apps in a couple of computers and I have always the same issue.... It's a bit strange.....

Hi @Rsalazarm I have just experienced the same problem, I think there might be some problem with the Testnet. All you need to do to fix this is to go into your Ethereum wallet folder and find a file called "network", open that and It should have the word "rinkeby" in it, change that into "main" and save it. After that the wallet should be working.

(Note: Changing network to main would mean you will be connected to Ethereum Main Network, and will not be connected to the test net, but I believe you can change it later on, and hopefully that the connection problem will be fixed.) 👍

Also with the chain structure stuff, it is all normal.

H @Rsalazarm @AntonieTrigger i: I have the same problem here. When I switch to Rinkeby in Mist I get the same error. I'm not sure if this error appears too when switching to Rinkeby having the blockchain fully synchronized. Have you tried? Also, modifying the network file only allows me to open Mist in the main network, but I need to switch to Rinkeby. Cannot use Rinkeby from the beginning.
