Ethereum Wallet not work No Sync option after today Geth update #4197

I always use No Sync options. Today after auto update geth to 1.8.23 Wallet no more connect to remote node. I Got error. Checksum mismatch in downloaded node. Please install the Geth node version 1.8.23 manually.

Confirmed. Even after installing geth v1.8.23 or v1.9 Beta manually the error message remains.

Sorry for the trouble. You can always access your wallet from another service, like MyCrypto, MyEthereumWallet, or MetaMask (which all use INFURA for "No Sync", like Mist does).

You can find your wallet keystore file in one of these locations: Linux: /.ethereum/keystore MacOS: /Library/Ethereum/keystore Windows: %APPDATA%\Ethereum\keystore

Once you import your keystore file + password into one of those options, you can manage your assets.

Ok Guys i know solution!

  1. Dowlnoad Geth 1.9.0 and put in AppData\Roaming\Ethereum Wallet\binaries\Geth folder
  2. Open Geth.exe manually.
  3. Open Ethereum Wallet and oh miracle he connect to remote node, but error appears, we ignore error, Wallet works!!

Glad you were able to find a workaround. Unfortunately, we also announced yesterday that we are deprecating Mist and Ethereum Wallet. You may continue to use it, but it will be unsupported by our team. See the announcement and migration guide for more details.

I'm switching to metamask permanently after getting this bug I don't even remember if Ethereum Wallet has a mnemonic code back up
