A JavaScript error occurred in the main process (Different from # 93) #103

MacOS 12.0.1 Remix IDE 1.3.3

Uncaught Exception: TypeError: Cannot read property 'setWebSocket' of null at /Applications/Remix IDE.app/Contents/Resources/app/main.js:153:14 at Server. (/Applications/Remix IDE.app/Contents/Resources/app/node_modules/@remix-project/remixd/src/websocket.js:28:17) at Server.emit (events.js:205:15) at emitErrorNT (net.js:1253:8) at processTicksAndRejections (internal/process/task_queues.js:84:9)

I think I just find the solution. Things go wrong because you are running a npm plugin called remixd (which is used to share the local file to Remix IDE on web) while running the Remix IDE. Actually, Remix IDE is already contained a remixd and it will run automatically so that you don't have to run remixd by yourself. Anyway,just don't run the remixd by yourself before running the IDE,that's all.

Mac OS Monterey v. 12.5 RemixIDE v.0.21.1 Same problem here while trying to update.

the latest release should fix that - https://github.com/ethereum/remix-desktop/releases - sorry for the delay. Please make sure to reopen if the issue persists.

Experimenting the same error here on Mac OS Ventura with both Universal & Intel version.
