About MakerDAO

MakerDAO is a decentralised organisation dedicated to bringing stability to the crypto economy through Dai, the world's first stablecoin on the Ethereum blockchain. Dai is an asset-backed hard currency that addresses the crypto economy’s problems of volatility with a secure and transparent smart contract platform of permission-less loans.

Description

Let your imagination run wild, as long as your imagination loves Dai, CDPs, and the MakerDAO ecosystem. We love to see anything that makes it easier for people to acquire, transact, store, or manage their Dai stablecoin.

Particular problems we'd like to see solved are:

Purchasing Dai: Is there a way to leverage existing players in the space to ease the onboarding process? How about in emerging markets?
Transaction fees are the worst: Lets abstract them away or figure out how to subsidise them. Meta transactions?
Fix UX: Create a simplified wallet experience, remove anything that looks like crypto
Pop-up Markets: Make it easy for people to create simple marketplaces with a basic POS system for their yard sales or happy hours (hint). Let people buy cupcakes by scanning a QR code, have the POS system track the sale, manage inventory.
Surprise Us: have a better idea? Build it.

Hi @iamonuwa unfortunately no, this bounty is specific to the ETHSanFrancisco hackathon.
