this popup should no longer occur and it doesn't disappear when moving to another tab or after opening settings

I saw this at one point, but have not been able to replicate this. Let's keep it open for now, but only as a reminder to check.

This still happens for me: the popup itself, that is, not the persistence. To clarify @difiore's point, I think he wants to remove the popup, and have the touch on the + button create a diary directly. Tony, please confirm.
