With the increase of data coming from telescope such as Rubin / LSST, we will face as a time domain community a new challenge: understanding our data in an efficient way, while considering our green waste through sustainable ways of processing those.

This need to be think of as an infrastructure challenge. Indeed to avoid the farms of servers, having duplications of data processed in all Australian university, we should work on a sustainable design that allows us to have access / process / simulate data to avoid having that work done several times by different team. It also challenge us to work collectively with our data in an intelligent manner to make faster progress on our understanding of transients.

The funding of ADACS has been absolutely brilliant for solving some of these issues. It's still not "enough" in that astronomers are still spending a lot of time writing (pretty terrible) pipelines, which is a poor use of our time. So yes, more support, please; and the more this is performed by a centralised software support agency such as ADACS, the more the solutions can be re-used (more efficient).
