Suggestions for IMU Upgrade? #6

Hello @ZacharyTaylor, thank you for the invaluable wiki resource on VI sensing. I used the MPU-6050 for a previous project involving a laser scanner, but need improved IMU accuracy to bridge larger time gaps between scan overlaps. I saw that you used the ADIS16448 in your upgraded setup and considered going for this option, though it seems that the eval board is no longer for sale. Do you know of an option to skip the EVAL board or if a different eval board can be used? Have you upgraded since or know of any available products that are on a similar level to this IMU? I did some research on my own already but would appreciate a suggestion based on real-life empiric data. Thank you for your time and have a nice day!

@alexsr did you find a suitable IMU alternative?

We went for the ADIS16465 instead. It works well for our application, has pretty good accuracy and high frequency sampling. Can't complain tbh.
