Perhaps we will need to more clearly differentiate between the purpose (scope) of different levels of model development and the iterative process required for the work?
1) Conceptual model: ideal model - logical set of nodes, edges, terminology (glossary) and their relationships
2) Model suite (actual models available): This work can be assisted by the review of AEP models (ongoing by Amelie, Barkha and likely others). It represent the pragmatic interpretation available (not necessary perfect)
3) Validation : Parameters, equations and data available to test performance & evaluate accuracy & precision of the models and (propagated) predictions.
It would require an iterative process between the steps (levels) to ensure that we optimize for more pragmatic use. (see slide).
