What I thought about the iPhone interface, was just making sure that the primitive tools are always available, and that the other tools are coming from a dropdown menu or something:
where the last tool can be selected in the dropdown menu.
I guess that if we program it smart, then we could make the point tool work as actually one tool. And making the zoom tool automatically work if there are 2 fingers on the screen. In this way there are only 5 tools needed in the toolbar, I'm not sure, but I guess that could work on the small screen, especially in horiontal mode.
