Great post, Eugene! Iteration is definitely something I value highly and has helped me with many of my own projects. Really enjoy how you found so many analogies from data to real life 🧠

Hi Eugene. Found your article after listening to the Talk Python To Me podcast. I came by to say thanks for an inspiring article. It really hit something in me, pushing me to follow some ideas and dreams. I'm currently getting into development, trying to fit in hours after work and hopefully one day transition from construction-research to IT some day. I've been comtemplating writing about it on the side for some time, but never got around to do anything about it. Your writing here (and your other articles on writing with why-what-how) is greatly inspiring, and i will move forward with the idea now. Especially the "books and papers are cheat codes" made me think. I'll let your site be my pre-training and take advantage of all the great knowledge gathered and presented in precise and a well-written manner. Thank you, and hope to share a few ideas with you some day :)

Thanks for your kind words @abnDK! I'm glad it resonated with you and provides a push towards your goals.

On writing about your journey—just do it! Expertise is like a ladder, regardless of where you are, there're always others who want to learn from you. How do you figure out what to learn in development? How do you structure your day to find time to do it? How do you overcome the challenges you face? And after you make the transition—how did you do it? I'm sure plenty others are looking to follow your journey and can learn from you. 💪

Let me know when—not if—you publish your thoughts online; would love to read them!

I will, i will :) And thanks, that is great questions. I often felt that i might not be to interesting for others, as there is so many blogs/writings about online. But you're right, there is always someone seeking for advice relating to their specific step on the ladder. I also try to remember myself, that it will be a great learning tool for my self. So no matter what, i will be able to gain something from the experience.

That is btw great probing questions, i will try to bring them into my brainstorms about subjects to write about. I'll keep you posted when i put something online sooner or later :)
