@apantsiop and myself are considering using both Paypal and Eventora's vPOS at the same time tomorrow. If it works well, uze it again for the next batch.
Agree with the hybrid solution.
We've tested the hybrid approach with @apantsiop. Ticket purchase with CC issued from greek bank redirects to Piraeus bank and ask for the CC password as well (apostolos recalled his passwd on the spot!!!), Ticket was purchased, email confirmations work for both us and the buyer.
We've already tested PP with @nolamesa. Works as advertised.
We are going the hybrid way, mitigate our risks, split our proceeds.
All is good for now, nothing more we can do, so we sit, relax and wait.
On a similar issue: Are we considering transferring the CC/PP costs to the ticket buyers?
Great..! Are the costs extra on top of the eventora price? Meaning haven't we calculated those in our budget?
For 700 ppl the cost is 2513 (included in budget). It's the most expensive (worst case) option and it's calculated as if every delegate buys using PP. Formula: 2%EV + (3.4% + 0.34)PP per ticket.
Since we got the money from Paypal and the situation is as is with Winbank can we close this?
Yes, we are closing this. Feel free to reopen if needed.
If the creditcard is issued e.g. from ABN AMRO (tested with mine), Piraeus redirects to the CC's issuer and requests the CC's password. This is yet another problem we face with greek banks!
