Do cases where a separate boot partition are used (e.g. for installations that used LVM--which of course have the / partition somewhere in /dev/dm-X or /dev/mapper/) require additional steps in the tutorial? (E.g. determining boot partition location then "sudo mount /dev/sda1 /mnt/boot" before running grub-install/update-grub)

It's possible that these things will affect the tutorial, although I'm not sure how. I will conduct further research and testing this week and attempt to update accordingly.
