Attributing Dialogue? #27

Closed Reichu closed 10 years ago

People are basically using these files as movie transcripts during the wait for a full camrip, and one inconvenience is that dialogue is not attributed to specific characters in the file itself. Is there some way we could do this, without making the eventual conversion to subtitles a pain?

giantrobotanime commented 11 years ago

you mean like, who is saying what in the translation file? If so, that would be great. Wish I knew how to help, but all I can do for you is BUMP!

Reichu commented 11 years ago

Uhhh... I guess for the meantime, I'll just put the character name in { } brackets right after the time. That sort of thing could be identified with automaton easily enough.

Instead of

00:00:52 {Man} Tracking team, report on both units' current positions. 00:00:55 {Woman} Pod 02-Dash has achieved operational altitude.

I would suggest

00:00:52 {Man}     ⁣Tracking team, report on both units' current positions. 00:00:55 {Woman} Pod 02-Dash has achieved operational altitude.

It is, the alignment of time, speaker and text among lines.

Reichu commented 11 years ago

eva3: Heh, that would look a lot nicer... I can fix that up with mass "copy/replace" once I've gone through the entire document.

eva3 commented 11 years ago

The following lines are not aligned. All remaining for me to close this issue. 00:29:06 {Hyuga (Phone)} 00:29:07 {Hyuga (Phone)} 00:29:24 {Asuka (Phone)} 00:29:31 {Asuka (Phone)} 00:29:32 {Asuka (Phone)}

This is the lowest priority, though. Don't worry.
