Is there any correlation (positive or negative) between an authors h_index and some calculated dev_index -- positive correlation where both h_index and dev_index continue to rise shows that development may not hinder an authors career as much as qualitative literature suggests. negative correlation shows that the qualitative literature may be correct and that development is not a major part of academic success or metrics
much like EAGER work, how often and by which types of software, does continued code contribution and development occur even after a paper is published -- in many cases like JOSS this will be very interesting as JOSS is meant for "well structured and documented research software" which imo should be maintained (granted, there are multiple projects that I have submitted to JOSS which are not getting development time.
Where in a paper do code contributors lie? -- using authorship records, mined acknowledgements mentions, and github contribution data, analyze where large contributors (and smaller contributers) sit in the paper?
