Example clean-up #95

A lot of the examples were written before ensembles + bootstraps had plot_ting methods. All of this can be cleaned up.

The examples have proliferated a bit, and somewhat meaninglessly. It'd be good to get to example scripts that

[x] Do sampling, measurements, write to hdf5
[x] Do autocorrelation + bootstrapping, write to hdf5
[x] Produce figures + statistics
[x] Perhaps a make file with an end-to-end example

I would delete

[x] action-comparison.py
[x] test_energy.py
[x] Probably all the notebooks?

I would move

[x] gauge-transformation.py
[x] equivalence-class-v.py
[x] maybe the current metropolis.py, cleaned up

to a new test directory.
