After upgrading to 2.2 I have problem with making calls #596

What steps will reproduce the problem?
After downloading the new 2.2 release from

I have problems making calls. Live in Switzerland. The connection to the 
GSM/UMTS/3G 
network is really bad. It seems the quality of the new 2.2 release is not good.
Making a call the phone just hangs up the call right away. I try 10 times same 
thing.

Switching to my second Nexus phone with the same SIM card I have no problems.
This phone is running Android 2.1

I also have a feeling that the battery runs out in no time with the 2.2 release.
