What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create a symbolic link
2. git add symlink
3. git commit
4. repo upload .
5. In the Gerrit review, the symlink file is not highlighted as such.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I wanted to see the symlink distinguished with a different file type indicator.

Please provide any additional information below.
