The README document has a Table of Contents, consisting of internal links within the same document.
One of the internal links is (in Markdown) [API](#api). But the “api” target does not exist in the document.

(As of this writing, the offending line is Line 13 of the document.)
My recommendation: Either this item in the Table should be removed; or the target should be created with some meaningful content.
