hi there

the FFS isn't really actively discussed and it seems that you didn't push any new code. how is the development stage?

evanrolfe commented 5 years ago

Hi, I'm not sure what FFS stands for?

As for development, this gem does what it is intended to do, so I myself don't really feel the need to develop it any further as long as no bugs or issues come up.

Thanks, Evan.

monero funding system. didn't you requested about 28,000$ for the ruby implementation of monero? then literally nobody donated anything but it wasn't well promoted and then you just did this wallet creation stuff and released it?

evanrolfe commented 5 years ago

Ok, I actually asked for around $8600: https://forum.getmonero.org/6/ideas/89913/a-native-ruby-implementation-of-the-monero-wallet

But yes nobody donated to me for this idea, so this gem is as far as I got with this idea. I haven't done any more work on the idea. It wasn't well promoted and some people liked the idea while others didn't. The main criticism was along the lines of "We already have monero coded in c++, why do we need it coded in another language?", which is fair enough although I don't really agree with that.

that c++ implementation argument is stupid, especially since recently a full JavaScript implementation was released. maybe you can make a new FFS Proposal and we try to advertise it more? now it's like 200 XMR, comparing to what it was before, quite crazy.
