it would be great if the extension could use the online google bookmarks (https://www.google.com/bookmarks) service rather than the local chrome bookmarks.

Google bookmarks dont offer a public API but other extensions where able to achieve that. The GUI of neater-bookmarks is much better though...

If you want to use Google Bookmarks, there are several solutions already available in the Chrome Web Store.

that is what I said... other extensions did it already, but the user interface of neater-bookmarks is better, hence the request... hope you will be interested in adding this option sometimes...
