@ericayhayes thanks for the PR! Did you build a poembot type project?

I am going keep this PR open for now--I haven't updated this since 2017, so there are a bunch of issues with being out of date--old Pi, old Raspbian, old Python... I will need a chance to go over what is there. Thank you!
