Double Scrollbars and Overflow when extending the Sidebar

Most pages display two vertical scrollbars. What's more, when the sidebar is extended, it causes a horizontal overflow, making the page incomplete and difficult to read.

Steps to reproduce

Go to a page with an extended sidebar.
Observe the scrollbars and check whether any unnecessary scrollbars appear.
Check whether the content exceeds the size of the window.

Expected solution

Correct the layout so that there is only one vertical scrollbar.
Ensure that the sidebar extension does not cause horizontal overflow.

Acceptance criteria

The page must display only one vertical scrollbar on all pages.
There must be no horizontal overflow when the sidebar is extended.
