What steps will reproduce the problem?
I'm not sure on how to repeat the problem, in my case it came from getting
messages from "phonenumber"@vtext.com sent through email clients after updating
to version 1.3.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expected that the application would stop reminding me about a message after
it had been deleted/opened.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Moto X 1060 verizon developer edition software build number 139.15.1 Android
version 4.2.2 with sms popup 1.3
Please provide any additional information below.
After being bombarded by minute reminders on non-existent messages I realized
rebooting the phone seemed to temporarily fix the problem. Later, I noticed
that whenever I was getting a new message, the notification bar was showing me
that I had 2 messages despite there only being one. I tried wiping data, wiping
cache, reverting to an old version, reverting to an old version and restoring
old data, and wiping my messaging apps data. Finally I turned on the actual
popup functionality and after sending myself a new message and deleting it, a
phantom second message appeared in the popup. After deleting that it seemed to
fix the issue for now. I know that this is somewhat of an obscure case, but the
issue has never occured while oncall before prior to version 1.30. Also I
figured this may help in fixing the issue for someone else in the future.
