Ok, I know I sure thought about a default image, but I don't think I ever actually implemented it. Robopaint/SVG Edit will however gladly load the last image you had open in the editor, or loaded via quick load. Unfortunately I don't yet support some nice way of clearing these variables for "clean install" testing, so you may actually need to test on a new machine to be sure I'm not bluffing ;)
The "quick load" feature already supplies a menu of curated examples, loaded from the svgs folder directly into the "print" mode. Exactly what these are and how they'll be accessed is for another ticket. (Not to mention these should all be examples that paint well, don't carry copyright, etc.. but I digress).
When i first installed RoboPaint, it had a default image there, that I had to select one object at a time to delete. It was pretty annoying.
Hmm. I'll look into it.
The happy face is not helpful; we need to start with a blank page. It may be a neat idea to add a menu of example files, though.
