Well you can't add a comic to your watchlist via the One-Off
option - that option is to have Mylar snatch & post-process the issue (it's only available for those series which aren't on your watchlist).
The backend site only gets updated when the information on CV is present - granted the comicid isn't correct since the name on CV is different than what's on the backend site. This requires me to manually intervene (or one of the guys that occasionally help out with fixing incorrect links on the backend).
The reason why the Alternate Search is not being picked up is a few different reasons:
NinjaEdit. The backend is now updated to the correct ComicID. If you perform a Recreate Pullist
from the Weekly tab you'll see the issue as Wanted now (or you can just wait til the next 4 hour refresh cycles on your client).
Are you using the IDs from the comicvine URL?
I usually check the pull list at least once a week between Sunday and Wednesday to see if any new series are coming out that I am interested in, so if there is a way for me to assist in updating the link between these let me know.
Another one that isn't updating: "The Land That Time Forgot: See-Ta The Savage" https://comicvine.gamespot.com/edgar-rice-burroughs-the-land-that-time-forgot-see/4050-109314/
Not exactly just ComicID's alone, it's...well, it's convoluted TBH. Because CV doesn't have new-releases tied to the API at all, I have to do a bunch of workarounds, plus using other sites for additional information to make things a bit more accurate as far as data goes. Normally the way the pull operates on the backend is pretty good, it updates itself & then the clients all update as they are required and everything links up fine. It's just when CV has different names for series, or they change series names to fall in line with the indicia that things have to be massaged on the back-end to properly line up.
I'd love to have the ability for the users on the client-side to just say 'send fix request' for a given series that's not lining up and then queue it up on the backend side for verification before fixing (cause if the fix is wrong, the pull-list will be blank and then no pully).
Honestly, creating threads like this or hopping on irc are usually the best ways (atm at least!) to get these types of mismatches fixed properly for everyone to reap the benefits.
Time Forgot has been updated too - recreate the pull again to see the update. (Keep in mind that it won't actually get into your Wanted list (as per the Upcoming tab), until there is actual CV information for the given issue. The Wanted on the pull-list is just Mylar knowing that something is due, but it doesn't have the information yet to mark it fully Wanted/search for it properly yet).
I am attempting to add a comic issue to the pull list via the +One-off link. I am also unsure why this comic is getting skipped since I have added the alternate name to the Alternate Name search.
These are the debug logs after I click the +One-off link.
