I'm seeing this behaviour as well
It's entirely possible I made a configuration mistake, although I have configure Sickbeard and Couchpotato with great success.
If Mylar has added them correctly, when you click on the Comic Name on the main page you're brought into the detail page where it shows the comic details and the issues. It also will not show Error in the Status for the comic. There are a couple of things that I need to know before I can figure out exactly what the problem is.
The log in Mylar should give more detail as to exactly what's happening. Please post that as a starting point after the above and I'll look more into it.
Thanks so much. "Check for new version" give successful and green checkmark I have listed as http://localhost:9090/ (Note: I realized that the mylar config had the wrong port, so I've switched it to 9090. However, clicking any "force" options still produces nothing *Blackhole option isn't ticked. Should it be? Looking at log...
I tried to change a couple of issues to "Skipped" so I could change back to "Wanted" on the Upcoming page, and got the "you haven't selected any" error, despite two being checked.
On the overview page for avengers vs x-men, I was able to change to skipped by clicking skipped link. When I went to change them back to wanted, "there was a error". However a refresh showed those issues as wanted.
Ok that might be the issue - the Upcoming page is abit borked ..it broke a few commits ago and for some reason it just refuses to work properly at this point. Try doing it from the actual comic detail page and see if you get better results (at least for the time being, until the Upcoming page can be addressed)
try shutting down Mylar and restarting - it looks like you got the Error on hung problem. When it errors out, any subsequent action results in a problem. Shutting it down and trying again may very well solve the issue. Otherwise, are you selecting several at a time and changing the status to wanted ? or clicking on the Wanted link for an issue itself ?
I have been restarting after every change. I last changed to issues from skipped back to wanted on the details page. BTW here is some log:

FF keeps on with a spinning wheel.
FYI, when I go to "edit settings" on any comic title, all the fields, like Directory, have a 1 in their boxes.
If I click the link to go to comicvine's listing for FF, it's a 404 not found error. http://www.comicvine.com/volume/39453/
Yeah edit settings tab is just a placeholder - I'll remove it next commit (that will be useable hopefully in the next little while).
The link to comcvine's listing has no bearing on Mylar. the /volumen/39453/ is actually a link used by API which has a different url referencing than the actual http:// link. Don't pay it any mention - it's an incorrect http atm.
When you go back to the main home page, is the status of FF still 'Loading' ? or is it 'Active' or 'Error'?
Here's logs of me adding FF, and changing a couple of issues of "dark reign: fantastic four" from wanted to skipped and back again:

Try disabling nzb.su and just running Mylar with the Experimental Search option enabled. You'll have to shutdown and restart Mylar after you make the change and save the settings. I'm thinking it might be a problem with the nzb.su portion at this point.

I'll try updating the importer.py with the version I'm running currently. I can't recall if I did any changes, altho I know I have updated the searching method as well as some others.
By the way I did as you asked, uncheck nzb.su, checked experimental search, restarted. changed a couple of issues of daredevil to skipped. when changing them back to wanted "there was a error" but a refresh showed they were changed.
just for the heck of it I restarted Sab. I then restarted mylar. I went to "force check" and still nothing happening.

My comicRN.py file was moved to the directory where sab looks for scripts and it was selected from the drop down list in sab, so presumably it's in the right place. Then here is what it looks like:
comdir = '/media/DATA/sab/complete/comics/'
mylaron = "yes"
repblank = "no"
repwith = " "
remcrap = "yes"
comicyearopt = "yes"
zerosup = "2"
I just noticed apostrophes around the comics directory has apostrophes around it. Was that my mistake? Edit: nevermind, I see your original file has the apostrophes.
Here is a link to screenshots of my config pages: http://www.flickr.com/photos/67575129@N04/sets/72157631609422969/
try latest commit - might help...also note that the ComicRN script has been updated as well so you may want to update your version if you use the renaming.
You are amazing. I'll update and tell you how it goes.
Are you sure the comicRN file is new?
Virtually no change here.

Oh, the FF title did finally stop spinning. But no downloads, unfortunately.
So if it's adding and searching ok - then the issue is probably something to do with SAB or the transfer to SAB.
Actually I think I just noticed in your screenshot - take out the trailing '/' in your SAB Host address. I'm going to guess that it's putting an extra slash in the send-to-sab behind the scenes and it's causing it to bork up :)
No change in results unfortunately.

hmm ok - there's something amiss somewhere then. Make sure the SAB API key you give to Mylar is the full API key, and not just the NZB API key. Mylar needs full access to SAB in order to work. I'll try adding in some more detailed output to see if we can trap the error, right now it seems that you're the lone wolf having problems which makes me think it's possibly some kind of configuration problem with Mylar. Can you run Mylar from the console and post the console output ? If it's erroring out it will blurb out the error on the console - if you're running just the daemon, it won't.
It's definitely the API code and not the NZB code.
By the way on that config page in mylar, under Download, enter the full path where Sab downloads your comics, there's no field to enter anything there.
When you say "AB API key you give to Mylar is the full API key, and not just the NZB API key." I only put the API key in, am I supposed to put the NZB code in somewhere?
Still no joy. From Terminal (if that's what you were asking for):

latest commit has a test/search.py directory now. Copy the search.py from the test directory and put it in the mylar directory (where all the other .py scripts are). Try doing stuff again, and paste the console log here if you can - it should give abit more detailed information about what it's doing and I can track it down hopefully better using this method.
I'm grateful for the help! Doing it momentarily.
replaced search.py which didn't go so well!

okay part of my problem with this task might be my newness to ubuntu and/or github. For some reason when I save the file it becomes a !DOC
I tried copying and pasting the new code into the old search.py. It's not longer a doc, but it still didn't go perfectly.

When you copy & paste stuff, indents play a big part in Python and that's causing the break now.
You don't have to copy/paste text between files actually...just update to newest commit. After doing so in the mylar home directory there will be a directory called test. In that directory is a debugging search.py file. Copy that search.py file into the mylar/ directory. So if I'm looking at your paths - from the console (after doing a git update and making sure that Mylar is shutdown) do : cp /home/misterfantastic/.mylar/test/search.py /home/misterfantastic/.mylar/mylar/
It will hammer your existing search.py - but it's all good. Start up Mylar and then do something...you'll see more results displayed to the console and the post that up in here.
Doing another git update will replace the debugging version of search.py that you copied with the corrected version :)
Oh thank you!

my bad - indentation level was wrong on that one since I put in the debugs. Newest commit should fix it so you can try again.
what's the command for updating? Difficult to update from web interface in this situation.
no it's the same - start up Mylar, it'll state if your up-to-date or not ..update that way. Git will push down the newest test/search.py and then just do the instructions I gave above to copy it into the right folder.
I'm probably missing something obvious. :)
With search.py replaced with bad file, mylar won't start in order to replace with good file! 8)
Yeah that's a big boo-boo. Copy off your config.ini and mylar.db (if you have comics added) to somewhere else and delete mylar. Then do a fresh install and you should be tickity-boo once you mv back the config.ini and mylar.db
I had a backup of the search.py file, unless you want me to delete and start fresh anyway!
doesn't matter. Copy back the backup, start it up - update, shut it down, copy the debugging search.py over, restart!

I see you were channeling George Costanza there! I do see colons in weird places there, but I have no idea what I'm talking about!
haha - yeah gotta love the Constanza!
On the plus, it's finding the file and is preparing to send it to SABnzbd. But from the looks of it, it's failing right before it attempts to pause the SAB queue. Since it's printing out your SAB host fine, can you verify that your SAB API key is correct within Mylar since it uses the API key to pause SABnzbd before sending the file? If it's good I'll have to throw up another revision of the search.py file to segment this out.
I've been copying and pasting it directly from Sab. To try something a little different, I copied it and pasted it from Couchpotato, which has been working all day.
A couple of things I noticed. I don't have "black hole" checked. In couch potato the url for sab is just listed as "localhost:9090" with no http:// in front of it. Just thought I would mention those things.

I think I figured out what's wrong!
My sab is running on https not http. I changed it https. It has paused Sab and added an nzb, but it may be stuck on pause. Will keep you posted in a minute.
Is it stuck on pause because of the test version of search.py?

I have added a few popular comics, so I'm certain they exist!
Mylar loads them and all the issues appear as wanted. Mylar seems to create directories for the comic titles in the destination folder. However, Sabnzbd never does anything.
Could be related to these errors: https://github.com/evilhero/mylar/issues/23
SOLUTION: DISCOVERED THAT MYLAR DEFAULTS TO "HTTP" PROTOCOL FOR SABNZBD LOCATION, HOWEVER MY SAB IS SET UP FOR "HTTPS". CHANGING THIS IN THE MYLAR CONFIGURATION SOLVED THE ISSUE.
