Utilizing the +D channel mode, it would be excellent if Opers could bypass the functionality entirely and view new channel join/parts.
Current functionality: users joins are delayed until they speak, and do not appear as they are "on" the channel. This includes Opers, and they are unable to see new users whom join the channel.
Suggested change: Opers are able to bypass the +D function of "users hidden until spoken" and will directly see new users join "on" a channel, regardless of the +D flag. This allows Opers to properly moderate a channel.
Scenario where it would be beneficial: If a collective network creates an interview process for potential network helpers, they would be able to set a channel (#Interview) to mode +D and allow multiple network staff to join in secret. Once the potential helper joins, an Oper whom is Oped in the channel can see that he has joined, and give him +v and begin a, from the perspective of the interviewee, one on one questions and answers interview, allowing other staff to join and listen in and evaluate the user on their answers.
