Pencil 3.1.1 really slow and unusable #766

Operating system: macOS Ventura 13.2.1 (Intel CPU)
Pencil version: 3.1.1 (and 3.1.2 nightly)

I noticed that the 3.1.1 (and 3.1.2 nightly) makes the app very slow when running on macOS. I tried to download version 3.1.0 and the lag disappeared.
