By creating a plugin system for evothings studio, we both invite others to extend our platform and at the same time can produce new features that can be developed separately from the core platform and added/removed by customers as they see fit.
One good use-case for this could have been (or could be :) the node-red editor, which if created as a plugin, is not dependent of being included in a specific release of the studio. I can think of lots of other great examples too (not only screen-savers)
