This PR:

Removes the unnecessary attributes in the library's AndroidManifest file (as well as the corresponding strings resources)
Disables the BuildConfig files generation
Update dependencies
Fix a crash in the sample app
Update androidx.appcompat 1.0.2 ⇾ 1.1.0
Update androidx.core 1.0.2 ⇾ 1.1.0
Update androidx.fragment 1.0.0 ⇾ 1.1.0
Update Android Gradle Plugin 3.4.1 ⇾ 3.5.1
Update Gradle 5.4.1 ⇾ 5.6.2
