Want to take the reigns on creating issues for next steps so we can assign some tasks?

I added a short roadmap to the README and created some issues for stuff that I think would be nice to have for a v1.0 demo. Of course, these are just my thoughts so feel free to add/remove/change things as you see fit. If anything in particular tickles your fancy you can assign the issue to yourself.
