Gnome 44 support #159

Hello guys,

First of all, I'm in love with this extension, you captured my thoughts as it is exactly what I needed regarding the top panel!

The support has been great for Gnome 4x but I don't see any issue for Gnome 44 which is now out for Arch and has been out for a while on Fedora. Is the support only a declarative option and then a push to extensions.gnome.org?

Thank you for your hard work, happy to see that the extension lives on!

Hi! The extension should be updated this week (I'm primarily on Arch)

If you're willing to test it (and as always potentially break the shell) you can disable version checks shell-wide or you can edit the metadata for this extension in the meantime.

I'm on Archlinux. Changed the metadata file to include 44. No issues so far, everything looks fine.

Hello, following up on this issue. Has the update been published yet? I'm on Arch and no updates to stable yet.

Changing metadata to 44 crashes the next time the system is rebooted. Tested this on arch. Not sure if its conflicting some other extension

Hi! There is/was a GNOME Shell bug in 44 that broke extensions using dynamic imports. I fixed that bug but my guess is not all distros have the update yet - I'll link the commit when I'm at my laptop later.

Hi! Does it already work in arch with gnome 44? At this moment I obtain this:
