首先感谢你们的翻译,这里我提一个疑点: For A−1 to exist, equation 2.11 must have exactly one solution for every value of b. It is also possible for the system of equations to have no solutions or infinitely many solutions for some values of b.

如果逆矩阵 A−1存在,那么式2.11肯定对于每一个向量b恰好存在一个解。 但是,对于方程组而言,对于向量b的某些值,有可能不存在解,或者存在无限多个解。


方程组的解的情况,应该有3种:无解,1个解,无数个解。 从翻译来看,感觉无法直观的得到这个信息(还是我理解问题?) 而原文里的also则表达了这种意思。

@caisp 确实没有表达出also的意思, @liber145 改一下会不会有点赘述?

嗯,改成了下面这样。 “但是,对于某些向量$\Vb$,方程组也有可能不存在解,或者存在无限多个解。”

这句话我试图理解了好久,但是得不到对应的逻辑关系。 “For A−1 to exist, equation 2.11 must have exactly one solution for every value of b. 如果逆矩阵 A−1 存在,那么式(2.11)肯定对于每一个向量 b 恰好存在一个解。”

这里面不管是原文还是译文都没有提到A-1的唯一性。如果对唯一性有解释,这句话逻辑上就通顺了。

后文 “For the matrix to have an inverse, we additionally need to ensure that equa-tion 2.11 has at most one solution for each value of b. 要想使矩阵可逆,我们还需要保证式(2.11)对于每一个 b 值至多有一个解。“

所以For A−1 to exist, equation 2.11 must have exactly one solution for every value of b. 中的For是否应该也翻译成“要想使”?
