The link to Rest SMS Gateway (http://bit.ly/RestSMSGateway) is broken: "We're sorry, the requested URL was not found on this server."

Unfortunately the app has been removed from Play Store. I didn't find any information about this.

Some nutjob at Google decided that accessing SMS and Call logs is bad. So they throw out everything, that requires access to those features. I guess the author wasn't able to get an exception permit from them. Or maybe he didn't bother to get one, who knows. There is no info in this app about him/her or where to find support. The only thing i know is the username: "Perfness". There seems to be a website, but it looks abandoned too.

The app is still available here: ApkPure

I'm not sure if it gets any updates in the future. There are many other SMS Api Apps, that too got hit by this new policy.

I think the author doesn't keep the app anymore. There was no information about the app and its developers as well.

I searched a lot for a replacement, but I could not find any that runs locally. I still have it installed on my phone, so that's fine, but I'll have to put a valid download link or I'll have to discontinue the library.

:disappointed:

The author, Perfness Apps perfnessapps@gmail.com, said the following:

The app was blocked by google. Now I'm rewriting it to be default sms app. I don't know how long it will take. If you want I can send you apk file, so that you will by able to install it.

Awesome!

It would be quite interesting if we could help him/her with the code.

And about the apk file, I think it may be valid for as long as the new version is not released.
