Any ideas?

Uhm, nop. How did you install the php module? Do you see strange chars with a : cat -v /etc/puppetlabs/puppet/modules/php/manifests/params.pp (on line 1) ?

Uhm, actually I found one, in the middle of the file. Does the latest commit fix the problem?

Sorry, I don't have easy ability to test right now. But I assume that was the issue, and it's probably fixed now. :/
