Devolution Emulated Memory #131

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Lauch Gc Game
2.No Memory Card In Slot A
3.Can't save GC games

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I am trying use emulated memory with devolution activating NMM says memcard.bin
activated but still doesn't work and doesn't save any progress.

What version of the product are you using?
cfg70r65

If its a problem with GC games, what DIOS MIOS (Lite) version is used?
Devolution r200

If an exception occurs, please attach a picture of it.

Please attach the log file if possible (system->debug->save debug).

Please attach a syscheck if possible.

Please provide any additional information below.
I would like to know if it's possible to have memory card emulation on cfg
using devolution. If I load games from Devolution r200 memcard.bin is read fine
and will save game progress but that isn't the case with cfg70r65 it can say
memcard.bin activated only with NMM on, but still doesn't make a difference
when getting to a save point it just says no memory card in slot A.

What drive are you running cfg from and how is it formatted?
What drive are you storing your game.iso on and how is it formatted?
Is cfg copying the game.iso from one drive to another before starting the game?

I'm running cfg from the sd card on the wiiu. I'm storing the game.iso on the
usb and it's formatted fat32 with 32 kilobyte clusters. I don't think it's
copying no game.iso. The problem is with the emu.memcard.bin cfg if i'm not
mistaken doesn't have emulated memory for use with devolution. If i run my
gamecube backups from Devolution i can save my progress but if I use devolution
from cfg I get an message saying No memory card in slot A. NMM enabled when
booting the game says emu.memcard.bin enabled but still the same problem the gc
game says No Memory Card in Slot A. NMM disabled says emu.memcard.bin disabled
when booting the gc game. My question is how can i have emu.memcard.bin be
recognized in game as a memcard in slot a when the game has launched.

I'm using the latest nightly of cfgmod r78,
and it's giving me the same problem.

I can launch the games just fine, but it dose not read from my virtual (dumped)
8mb memory card.

and I don't see any option to enable (shared) virtual memory card,
I manually booted nintendon't and re-enabled the settings, but the do not stay
after booting the game via cfg.

Are you having a problem with Devolution or Nintendont?
This issue relates to Devolution which should hace been fixed.
Your message mentions nintendont which is different.
