Possibility of a standalone app?

Hey there,

I love your plugin and the work you've put into this. It's so powerful and handy.

I'm an avid fan of having a local copy of a lot of my media, so much so that I have almost 2TB of it. I'd just like to know if you'd consider releasing a standalone app for this so that I can process all of my files instead of them 1 by 1? Just a curiosity. :)

Keep up the good work and if you have a donation page or something please let me know.

Thank you very much. I have this project for a very long time but I couldn’t find the spare time to do it. I still have a few other projects on the top on my list, but I'll definitively do this one next year. That will be the opportunity to add requested functionalities and fix bugs that I couldn't do with the limitations of VLC lua extensions, like:

bulk search and download
search and download from other sources than opensubtitles
upload subtitles
declare a correct movie subtitle synchronisation so people can later find it "by hash"
a special algorithm I've been working on to automatically fix bad synchronisation (really great!)
no support for non ASCII characters on Windows with LUA
and overall a more robust implementation that doesn't break with each VLC new version
