The documentation claims \(...\) and \[...\] should give the same result as $...$ and $$...$$. But that's not the case: the render is as (...) and [...].
Expected Behavior
As claimed by the documentation:
\(...\) should behave as $...$,
\[...\] should behave as $$...$$.
