References not rendered in Preview

Describe the bug References added via DOI or bibtex are not rendered in the VS Code preview.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Install Myst extension
2. create a new markdown file
3. add references via DOI or Bibtex, like:

   [Cockett, 2022](https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.6476040)

4. Open Preview

Expected behavior References added to the bottom of the preview, similar like RMarkdown.
