By all means please do! I know that these are very onerous to create, but at least the concept exercises should not be quite so complicated as our normal ones since we are mildly pushing them toward the exemplar solution.

Yes, you are welcome
this is the ref to spec we have to follow for the analyzer https://github.com/exercism/docs/tree/main/building/tooling/analyzers
Please let we know for every doubt, difficulty or simply to discuss about the solution.
I can help with this as well. I'll be taking a look around because I have been sort of afk with the holidays but I'd really like to help. Java is my comfort language and I have been wanting to help in an analyzer for some time :) I didn't ask because I thought it was already built
Btw the links in the README.md of the linked repository are broken @mirkoperillo
Can't figure out why, tho, because the links in the raw version look fine... anyway, you can access the files easily from the directory
I'm very interested in helping here, but I've never done anything like this before.
I'd love to help here too. Maybe we could join efforts? (quite comfortable with java but I've never written analyzers before)
Yeah, it will be great if we could join efforts. I am super comfortable with Java but I am still getting comfortable with the Exercism Platform and its concepts. Also, I've never implemented an analyzer before
Is there anywhere we can chat about the analyzer specifically? Or do we just do that in #maintaining-java on Slack?
Id love to work together with you too.
What I missed a little last time was the no opportunity for some old pair/mob programming
I guess we can create a slack channel? There should also be a

I can't see that channel on Slack. Is everyone allowed to create Slack channels or do we have to make a request?
Regarding mob/pair progamming, I think the closest we could get would be using an online call/conference with screen share?
I don't know if a specific channel for an analyzer project exists. I think the channel maintaining-java could be useful ( no much traffic on that) so you can open some thread in it to discuss about the analyzer and permit to every java channel subscriber to be notified. I think could be a good start to brainstorming about the analyzer, what do you think @jmrunkle ?
Yes, that could work. IDEA has a very strong code together feature, code has also one that works ok, or else we xan just share screens
About the channel, summoning @iHId for 20 MP (>-_-)> ~~~~

Yeah I'd say slack maintaining-java makes sense for async comms. Anyone wanting to pair or brainstorm together could pick a time and use whatever meeting software people prefer to discuss together (Google Meet, Zoom, etc) at certain fixed times.

That's the real public documentation on the analyzer spec.
I think your idea Jason is quite sensible. Lets do that

I'm not around much anymore, but please ping me if there's anything I can help with. I'm the one who initially set the analyzer up.
This issue can be closed, the upgrade of analyzer is in progress, look others opened issue for details
Currently the java-analyzer isn't on active development.
