MAME improvements #19

Is it possible to "trimm" the emulated joystick input in MAME? Skate or Die (#20), Mini Prix (#59), and Star Wizard (#60) need the keyboard input trimmed for the cursor not to be stuck in the bottom corner or spin the vehicle but only GSPort has this option to my knowledge which forces me to use it over MAME. MAME would be preferable due to the limitations of GSPort

This is not possible in MAME, sadly. The joystick can be mapped to the mouse in MAME, though.

There is a sort of crappy workaround in Windows; you can manually calibrate your joystick in windows and make the center point about 50 off center up and to the right.

Personally, I use a real PC joystick with adjustable potentiometers with a joyport to USB adapter. You can get decent CH Products PC joystick with pots on eBay rather cheap and the experience is a lot better.
