Printer support #3368

Open exoscoriae opened 2 years ago

Printer support for games with printer functionality. Output to PDF was solved with ALF's Party Kit.

Step 1 would be identifying games with printer support Step 2 would be to enable printer support for these games.

To be determined: does each game output to its own folder? Or a shared output folder?

Here is a list of the games mentioned in the staff channel on discord on 01/03/23. If I find them i have the part of the manual that mentions printing. The page is the page in the pdf not necessarily the same page in the actual manual.

SimCity (1989) page 6 image

SimEarth - The Living Planet (1990) It says printer support on the box but all i can find in the manual is the snapshot function that lets you make screenshots of the game. I have to further look into this one.

Lost Files of Sherlock Holmes, The - The Case of the Serrated Scalpel (1992) image

Realms of Arkania 3 - Shadows over Riva (1996) page 27 image You can also print your diary (page 7) and the online manual (page 8). The character and diary printing should work in both previous games also. I think there is no online manual in RoA 1 and 2.

Zork I - The Great Underground Empire (1980) image This should work in all other infocom text adventures also.

Mobygame lists two games supporting Windows as supporting also the Playstation PopEgg printer, but probably those are ports from Playstation and I don't know if the Windows versions support any printer.

Games to add to the list:
