1 year ago leaving this one alone. I was unable to quickly find a way to allow both digital audio and midi audio in the same install. We also have to take into account that the NATO addon and the patch have been applied, AND the original base install was setup for network play. A fresh install appears to be missing some of the network files.
Considering the game already has CD audio, I am not sure if all the work is worth the benefit of choice.
This one can add both SC and MT32.
During install from CD you get asked if to install with digital or midi music. After that, when you start the game you will get asked for video res and sound devices. If digital was selected during install you only get asked for a combined sound device, but if midi was selected you get to choose SB16 for sound and SC\MT32 for music. The music seems to only sound different during flight if you are checking anything. This choice is saved once you start a quick mission and then exit the game otherwise it asks again every time you start the game.
Its already on ECE, so its just any conf changes, adding choices to the run.bat, and adding to playlists.
