1 week ago Doom 1 & 2 are not on max cycles, they are on auto, but the end result is the same as auto puts the games to max. Using auto\max is not the best approach and only to be used if a suitable specific value cant be found.
I agree that 20k seems a bit sluggish and between 30 and 40k feels better.
Sunie reported: "Doom 4 runs too slowly. it runs at 20.000 cycles and needs at least 30.000 but I'd suggest it should be run at max cycles like Doom 1 and 2 are."
Assigning to Python so he can confirm whether this is an issue. Just at first glace, I didn't see one, but I also didn't play very deep into the game either.
