Some of the cutscenes stutter. One example is the cutscene after the first puzzle. There is a teacup on a table in the main room with the taxidermy bear, once you solve the sugarcube puzzle the cutscene plays.

Still same as at 2.7

Seems it might have been my system, tested again on 2.7 with new install and no skips
