Bugfixes and codecleaning #27

Hi Derrick,

This might seem to be looking like a very big commit, but most changes are just code formatting and complexity fixes. The module now passes PSR-2 checks, code complexity check of 15 and PHPStan checks.

The last commit contains all functional changes.
