Accessibility remote control via MIDI Notes #490

Hi Os, i'd like to request a new feature for the awesome FH-2: Currently, it's only possible to emulate the encoder and button of the module with SysEx. Most MIDI controllers don't support SysEx. I think it would be cool, to add an Option in the config tool, where you can assign a midi channel and a midi note to each function(Up, Down, Ok, Back).

Thanks:) Lukas

Can you explain why you'd want to drive the button/encoder on the FH-2 from a MIDI controller?

Even though I can assign all the parameters that I use to midi cc, I find myself often configuring things on the module itself. Especially when trying out new things, I prefer to tweak the parameter(like LFOs or Arpeggiators) on the module itself, before mapping the ones I like to midi cc. If the fh2 is fully patched, its a bit tricky to access the encoder and button. Its not a drama, but almost everything on the FH2 is midi controllable, and thought this might be a neat feature. I first thought of midi notes, to integrate well with the sysex calls. But the usage wouldn't be that great, e.g. to change Attack from 0 to 127 you'd have to press the pad 127 times. Relative Midi cc might work, but I don't think it's simple to integrate, and such a "joke"-feature shouldn't require much time. I'll close this Issue, sorry for wasting your time
