Envelope follower in the pitch tracker relies on pitch detection. Would be possible to make one that didn't, as an option in that algorithm or as a new algorithm.

An envelope Follower + Comparator. Takes audio in, spits out both an envelope and a gate or trigger (either on gate open, or on gate open and close) parameter 1'd be slew 2'd be comparator level, 3'd be pre-gain, 4'd be gate/trigger (on/off). Maybe even as an expansion to the audio/env. algo, where you could choose between outputting pitch or gate/trigger.

Hi, I would like to request an Envelope Following +/- VCA for the Disting please. I checked and could see the various elements present already, but not in this combination. The 2 inputs would be X the (usually audio) signal to derive the envelope from Y the input signal for the VCA. The 2 outputs would be the VCA outputs with the envelope from X applied, one regular and one inverted. So the envelope derived from X could be used to either open the VCA and let the signal through or to duck it depending on the output used. Parameters would control the level of X, plus attack and release of the envelope.
